Montreal rockers Wolf Parade were kind enough to blow the roof off the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles last night. While their explosive tunes came through convincingly enough, there was a lot of dead air between songs. They apologized for that, saying they needed to get better organized. Apparently "getting organized" meant taking sailor-sized swigs from very large bottles of alcohol. (I am pretty sure I saw the lead guitarist stagger a bit at one point.) It was a good show overall, though I look forward to seeing these guys get more experinece so that they can deliver a tighter performance the next time around.
